A severe weather warning for the Geelong region’s been cancelled overnight.
It’s been a calmer night with gusts locally less than 50km an hour.
However thousands of people across the area remain without power with crews working to restore electricity.

And the wind event is far from over, with advice that we could see more winds set in across the later part of the week.
Today we are expecting a cloudy day across the region, heading for a high of 17 before getting into the low 20s on Wednesday.
