A big win for a St Leonards woman on Saturday, picking up 400 grand in tattslotto.
The woman one of four Victorians to pick up a prize in the draw.
She says she was stunned to see the lottery office number on her phone while watching a movie.
“We were just watching the Saturday night movie, and the TattsLotto numbers came up on the screen,” she explained when speaking to an official,” she said.
“We’ve been playing those numbers for a long time. They’re a mix of our family birthdays and favourite football players’ numbers.
“I thought I recognised about five of them and said, ‘I think they’re our numbers’.
“It will certainly help us out – it will help square the mortgage away. It’s a good amount to win. Such great news.”
Dale Hancock, owner of the agency where the ticket was purchased, said it was a great outcome.
“This is the first time we’ve sold a division one winning entry so I’m excited and proud as we are a small community,” he said.
“For our winner, we hope that your win makes your life easier and happier. We thank you for letting us share in your happy moment.”
