A Geelong charity has launched its annual Christmas Giving Tree Appeal, asking locals to help those struggling this festive season.
Meli has teamed up with the Sexual Assault & Family Violence Centre for this year’s appeal, hoping to raise money for families unable to buy presents or provide for their loved ones.
Fiona Cutter from the local organisation said a donation could help more people enjoy Christmas Day.

“Your donation can show someone in our community that you care and they’re not alone,” she said.
“We know nothing feels quite as good as the gift of kidness.”
The appeal runs until December 9.
