A local road was thrown into chaos yesterday with a hazmat situation breaking out.
The Midland Highway near Taylor Road was closed in both directions around 4pm yesterday after a truck carrying bird waste lost some of it’s load.
The waste was believed to have been from a farm in the bird flu exclusion zone.

People driving between Ballarat and Geelong were forced to take a detour for an extended period of time as a number of emergency vehicles were called in to clear the scene.
