An application to establish Jan Juc’s first supermarket is before the Surf Coast Shire.

The modified plans before council originally had another level, but now feature a basement, ground and first floor, topped of with a roof level, with an overall height of 10.79 metres.

Planning consultants for the proponents say the development by The Beach Hotel has a floor area of around 850sqm, and “an overall architectural design that strikes the right balance between utilising the commercial-zoned land while respecting the coastal context of the site.”

The plans before the shire are currently out for public comment.
