A boy has been arrested following an early morning car theft in Grovedale.
Police believe two males and two females approached a man on the Surf Coast Highway just after 3am, with the males stealing a Hyundai Kona at knife point and taking off.
The vehicle was later found in parkland in Belmont.
A 15-year-old boy was found nearby hiding in reeds, but ran off before he was arrested shortly after.
The boy is expected to be interviewed later this morning.
Police say the other male is yet to be found.
No-one was physically hurt in the incident.
