Today marks the 26th anniversary of the devastating Linton fires.
Five members of the Geelong West fire brigade died in the blaze on December 2, 1998.
The group become trapped in their truck while fighting the flames, but could not escape or fight back.

A memorial for Christopher Evans, Matthew Armstrong, Garry Vredeveldt, Jason Thomas and Stuart Davidson was unveiled at the Geelong West station last year.
CFA members will pause today to remember their fallen colleagues.
