Chamber of Commerce joins voices against Lara project

Another Geelong business group’s voiced its opposition to a proposed waste-to-energy project in Lara.

Geelong Chamber of Commerce has written to the Premier with concerns about the project and the impact it’ll have on local business.

It’s the latest group to lend it’s voice against the project.

The Committee for Geelong earlier this year came out against the project, while politicians, including Labor MP Ella George, Greens MP Sarah Mansfield and Liberal Senator Sarah Henderson spoke at a rally last month.

A group including Lino and Richard Bisinella, Keith Fagg, David Thornton and Jacinta Begley have also voiced their concerns.
