A local council is after feedback on its so-called cat curfew.

Felines in Wyndham City are currently restricted to their properties between 10pm and 6am as part of it’s Cat Control Order.

It was put in place to stop cats preying on indigenous animals and running the risk of encountering feral animals.

The city says it is wanting to know of the curfew is meeting community needs, and if there needs to be any changes.

Residents can head online to provide feedback until November 20,.

Surf Coast Shire introduced a 24-hour cat curfew in September, restricting felines to their owner’s properties.

The City of Greater Geelong asked for feedback earlier this year on a similar move.
