A nervous wait for local council hopefuls for at least the next week.
The VEC has begun the process of counting votes for the council, however says it will likely not have provisional results until at least next Wednesday.
Voting closed at 6pm on Friday night.

The VEC website says the timeline for provisional results falls between the 6th and the 13th.
