A Golden Plains shire councillor has resigned just weeks after the council’s elections.
Councillor Lachlan Glen departing the role, citing personal reasons.
“Council acknowledges Cr Glen’s contribution to Council and the induction process during his time in office and extends its best wishes for his future endeavours,” a statement from council said.

“Council is awaiting further guidance from the Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) regarding the next steps in filling this vacancy.”
Council said it will continue to update residents as more information is available.
