Deakin University remains one of the top universities in Australia – and it keeps going up.
The Geelong university ranked 11th in Australia on this years Times Higher Education world university rankings, siting in the 201 to 250 bracket.
The ranking is also an increase on last year, where it sat in the 251-300 bracket.

Overall it was a rough year for Australian institutions.
“Australia’s top five universities all slip down the rankings, due to declining reputation and international outlook,” the website said.
University of Melbourne at 39 is the highest on the list of Australian unis.
