Fire crews battle car blaze

An early morning car fire on the coast is being treated as suspicious.

Crews found the vehicle well alight when they were called to Marner Close, Jan Juc, just after 2.30am.

There were concerns the flames may threatened a nearby hours, but the blaze was contained to the vehicle.

Police were called for suspicious circumstances.

It follows two other car fires in the region this week.

A car was destroyed and another vehicle damaged in a fire at Highton late Tuesday night.

A vehicle was dumped and torched in the early hours of Tuesday, with police believe that vehicle had been stolen from Ocean Grove on Monday.
