Four people have been arrested after a thieving spree at Geelong’s Westfield Shopping Centre.
It’s alleged the group drove up from Ballarat with the intention of stealing as much property as they could carry.
Two offenders parked on Yarra Street while two men, aged 18 and 36, walked into Myer and loaded up with branded clothing.
They returned to the vehicle with over $2500 worth of goods, joining the 25-year-old male passenger and 24-year-old female driver in the car.
Local police tracked the vehicle to a bottle shop on Church Street, Geelong West, where the four had stopped to pick up a drink for the drive back to Ballarat.
All four were arrested at the scene, with all of the stolen goods returned to Myer.
The woman behind the wheel was released pending theft enquiries and charged with unlicensed driving.
The male passenger was also released pending theft enquiries and charged with possession of a control weapon.
The two males who entered the store were charged with theft and bailed to face court in May.
