Four youths, two as young as 15, have been arrested in Corio on Monday morning, after leading police on a chase from Melbourne’s west.

Officers were originally called following reports a Mercedes was taken from a gym carpark in Werribee around 10am.

The car was tracked with assistance from its owner with police following it in the Air Wing as it headed towards Geelong.

It was spotted driving alongside an allegedly stolen Nissan Patrol as the convoy entered the Geelong area, travelling through Corio, Norlane, Little River and Lara.

Police believe the Nissan Patrol was stolen from a gym in Hall Road in Carrum Downs on Sunday.

Officers successfully deployed stop sticks as both vehicles travelled along Sandy Creek Road, near the You Yangs Regional Park, before two of the offenders dumped the Nissan and jumped into the Mercedes.

The Mercedes continued through Corio and North Geelong, driving on damaged rims, before coming to a stop in Cabernet Road in Corio.

A boy and girl aged just 15, another girl aged 16 and a 23-year-old man were all arrested at the scene.
