Close to 20 million has been raised by Geelong for the next planned project at Kardinia Park.

Steve Hocking has told the Herald Sun a 60 million dollar training and events space is next on the bill.

He says the club had so far raised $14 million of the $20 million dollar goal.

The plans follow on from the latest upgrades at Kardinia Park, including the Joel Selwood Stand and indoor cricket hub.

Hocking says the stadium and it’s precinct has become a major attraction and resource for the region, not only as a football stadium but as a function centre and with its restaurant.

The club wants to work with government on the remaining funding, having recently secured more than $4 million dollars for upgrades to the venues scoreboards.
