Police are investigating an alleged anti-war attack on a Geelong engineering business that does contract work with the defence industry.
Vision showing windows being smashed and graffiti sprayed on Marand Engineering’s office in the old Ford factory has been posted online.
Police say the incident on Melbourne Road is believed to have occurred between 8pm on January 1 and 6am on January 2.
Marand supplies multi-national defence companies such as BAE and Lockheed Martin.
A Victoria Police spokesperson says an investigation into the incident “remains ongoing.”
Defence Minister and member for Corio Richard Marles’s Yarra Street electorate office was similarly vandalised late last year, with red paint sprayed and posters opposing the war in Gaza pasted over the building.
Fellow local Labor MP Libby Coker’s office was also defaced in December, with the member for Corangamite being accused of being “complicit” in the deaths of Palestinian children in Gaza for not calling out Israel’s bombing of schools.
