Geelong will have a new mayor and deputy mayor.
Councillors will have the opportunity on leadership during a meeting tonight.
Former mayor Stretch Kontelj has confirmed he will run for the position, after being re-elected onto council.

Cr Kontelj was last mayor of the city in 2001/02, leaving council in 2015 due to work commitments.
Trent Sullivan, who has been mayor for the last two years, has reportedly chosen not to run.
