The Golden Plains Shire has elected its new Mayor.
Councillor Sarah Hayden has been selected for the role.
She will lead the team of Cr Brett Cunningham, Cr Lachlan Glen, Cr Helena Kirby, Cr Emma Robbins, Cr Des Phelan, and Cr Owen Sharkey.

The Council has voted not to elect a Deputy Mayor for the next 12 months.
Elsewhere, the City of Geelong Council will be meeting next week to decide on their new Mayor and Deputy Mayor.
