CFA and FRV crews have dealt with a number of small fires on Saturday night and in the early hours of Sunday.
The first call-out was just after 8pm when witnesses reported flames coming from grass and scrub in Horseshoe Bend Road at Armstrong Creek.
Firefighters had the blaze under control after a few minutes.
Around five hours later the alarm was raised again, this time to a grass and scrub fore near the Avalon Beach foreshore.
When crews arrived the flames had begun spreading to nearby trees.
A CFA spokesperson said that outbreak was also quickly contained.
And at around 4am Sunday residents of Fairbairn Drive, Corio called to report a small grassfire near their homes.
Once again firefighters were quickly on scene to put out the flames.
