Health hub touted for Wyndham Vale

A new women’s health hub will be built in Wyndham Vale.

It is one of six hubs announced across the state in a bid to close the gender gap.

The Victorian government says there are already 14 Women’s Sexual and Reproductive Health Hubs in operation.

The latest facilities have been chosen based on high demand in their region and the lack of existing services.

They are expected to help at least 4,000 more girls and women access health services each year.

Health Minister Mary-anne Thomas said all women should feel safe and supported when accessing the care they need.

“We’re doing what matters,” she said.

“.. removing barriers that women face so they can get the care and support they need, when and where they need it.”
