The Surf Coast might become home to a new Urgent Care Clinic, if Labor is re-elected in the upcoming federal election.
The government has promised 50 new clinics, 12 of which would be built in Victoria.
The proposed Torquay service would be the second in the region, one currently operating in Belmont.

Urgent Care Clinics are free for anyone with a Medicare card, offering immediate healthcare for non-life-threatening but urgent issues.
This includes treatment for infections, fevers, cuts, burns, fractures, and sprains.
