Local support provider genU is selling its residential aged care service Costa House in Lara.
Dedicated provider Respect Group is taking over the home, with staff transferring to the dedicated provider.
Existing residents are also being assured they will be secure with ongoing support and care.
The sale is expected to be finalised in January 2024.
Respect says it is committed to redeveloping the facility once its understands its operations.
Meantime, genU is planning an expansion of its St Laurence Park retirement village on Station Lake Road, Lara.
That includes increasing the number of homes within the village to around 230.
There will also be a dedicated Health Hub providing services to residents and the wider Lara community.
The staged development is expected to be completed within eight years.
