North Shore Cricket Club is the latest local sporting organisation to field an all abilities team this summer.
Secretary Sarah Brogden said the team would be playing in the Melbourne All-Abilities Cricket Association.
However she called on other local clubs to join, saying there had been plenty of demand in the region.
“We really hope that more clubs in the Geelong region get on board,” she said.
“Then hopefully we can have a whole Geelong conference of the MACCA league.”
The North Shore club is holding an All Abilities come and try day this Saturday.
It is on from 11am at the club’s ground at Windsor Park on Rose Avenue in Norlane.
Anyone interested can find out more on the club’s Facebook page.
