Barwon Water and the Surf Coast Shire Council will have the opportunity to speak on local housing at a parliamentary inquiry in Colac.
The Legislative Assembly Environment and Planning Committee will meet on Monday on housing supply in the regions.
The inquiry to look at challenges for housing in the regions.
“Witnesses are presenting evidence on behalf of various organisations including Barwon Water, Wannon Water, Associated Kiln Driers, Friends of Lorne, FormFlow, Victorian Forest Products Association, WinAngLo, Colac Otway Shire, Surf Coast Shire Council and Warrnambool City Council,” a spokesperson said.
“The Lower House inquiry is looking closely at a range of housing issues including areas in most need of housing, workforce challenges in the construction industry and accommodation for regional workers in key sectors.
“Monday’s hearing is being held at the Colac Otway Performing Arts & Cultural Centre, 95-97 Gellibrand Street and members of the public are welcome to attend.”
