Locals raise money for hospital

Thousands have turned out for the annual Run4Geelong, raising money for Barwon Health.

More than 3,000 people took part in the various courses on Sunday morning, starting from Geelong’s waterfront.

They included a 10km or 5.5km run or walk, and a 1km event for kids under 12.

Organisers say over $165,000 was raised for the local hospital, $35,000 more than the 2022 event.

Those who took part were able to nominate which area of the hospital received their registration fee.
