A man has been charged with murder following a fatal stabbing in Point Cook on Sunday afternoon.
A 28-year-old man was interviewed on Monday morning, after an altercation on Point Cook Road about 2.45pm.
During the fight at the Season 5 Resort & Spa, a 35-year-old Point Cook man was allegedly stabbed and was killed at the scene.
Witnesses told Geelong Broadcasters a man was seen driving off as police arrived and gave chase.
Our newsroom has been told the man’s vehicle collided with a number of parked cars before police pinned him to the ground and arrested him.
The Diggers Rest man was subsequently charged with a number of offences including murder and possess amphetamines.
Police and SES are also conducting a search in Point Cook today as part of this investigation.
