UPDATE:
The Armed Crime Squad has been called in to investigate an incident in Corio in the early hours of Monday morning where a man was shot.
Police were called to Browallia Drive following reports a man had been assaulted and sustained a gunshot wound around 2am.
Investigators believe the 24-year-old Corio man had been shot and assaulted elsewhere, before making his way home to seek help.
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are yet to be determined and the investigation remains ongoing.
The man suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital.
Police are after anyone who may have seen anything to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

A man has been injured in an early morning assault in Corio.
Emergency services were called to reports of an incident in Browallia Drive just after 2am.
They found a man in his 20s injured.
Paramedics assessed the man for lower body injuries.
He was taken to hospital in a stable condition.
Police are now investigating how and where the man was injured.
