A local pollie’s asked the Police Minister to do more to equip our officer’s amid a rise in crime.
Western Victoria M-P Bev McArthur took to parliament to call on the government to commit more to reducing crime.
“We need action, not another whitewashed inquiry or empty report,” she said.
“The Minister for Police must act to revitalise our police force and incentivise more recruits.
“Victorians are demanding justice – they can’t wait any longer.”
“You must act immediately to end this unfair policy.”
A new report – according to the Herald Sun – shows Operation Trinity saw close to 700 people arrested last year, including for a high number of car thefts.
The operation – targeting youth crime – used more than 140,000 officers last year.
