Geelong is in for more rain and a possible storm today.
Heavy rain fell over the region on Thursday afternoon, with more than 14mm officially recorded at Aireys Inlet.
Geelong has had just over 12mm of rain and Avalon over 10mm.
A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for parts of Victoria, including Bacchus Marsh and areas in the state’s northeast.
David Barker from the SES said there was also the risk of thunderstorm asthma.
“Some of the northern parts of Victoria may see an increase in moderate risk of thunderstorm asthma that may be associated with these thunderstorm cells,” he said.
The weather should clear up in Geelong over the weekend with partly cloudy conditions and temperatures in the high teens.
