A man has been charged with murder over the death of a woman in Werribee on Thursday morning.
The 41-year-old man was arrested at a Retford Close home when the body of a 42-year-old woman was found in the backyard with stab wounds.
The man has been charged with one count of murder and will appear before Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Friday.

It is believed the parties involved are known to each other.
