A man has been airlifted to hospital in a critical condition following a house fire in Corio on Thursday.
Emergency crews were called Vermont Avenue just before noon, bringing the blaze under control within about ten minutes.
A 29-year-old resident of the house sustained life threatening injuries and has been airlifted to a Melbourne hospital.
Police say they are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fire but aren’t treating it as suspicious.
The area has been cordoned off and a crime scene has been established.
