The newly built Northern Aquatic and Community Hub will open to the public in February.
Geelong council’s announced the facility will be open from 5.30 am on Monday Feb 19, with the swim school program starting the week before.
The $65m centre includes a lap pool and waterplay area, alongside a community hall and childcare facilities.
The centre will be co-located with Barwon Health North in Norlane, to help provide complimentary health services in an area considered to be one of Victoria’s most disadvantaged postcodes in terms of socio-economic indicators.
The city has a membership pre-sale open for people until January 14, with early bird discounts of 20 per cent available.
