A raised crossing has been installed on a busy Highton street.
The City of Greater Geelong received TAC funding towards the Burdekin Drive crossing.
Mayor Trent Sullivan said drivers were caught speeding in the area, making it dangerous for school children.

“This treatment slows vehicle speeds down through the area and makes the crossing supervisor and school children more prominent with a shorter distance to cross the road,” Cr Sullivan said.
“Upgrading our school crossing infrastructure is an important safety feature to help our community travel to and from school.”
