A teenage girl has been arrested in relation to a school building fire in Corio.
Emergency services were called to Northern Bay P12 College in Hendy Street just after midnight, finding a building containing the administration area and classrooms well alight.
It took firefighters more than an hour to bring the flames under control.
Police say the building has been significantly damaged, with a crime scene established.
A 13-year-old girl from Bell Post Hill was arrested at the scene.
She has since been interviewed and released pending further investigations.
A community information message was issued at one stage for smoke in the area, but that has since been lifted.
Northern Bay College has confirmed the campus is closed today, and students should stay home.
It says families who are unable to keep their children at home to attend the Goldsworth Campus today.
Arrangements for the rest of the week are being made for students.
