After a cooler few days this week, temperatures are soaring again across the Geelong region this weekend.

V/Line services are scheduled to run to an extreme heat timetable on the Geelong and Warrnambool lines.

Trains run slower on hot days to reduce the likelihood of faults.

Passengers are advised to check the schedule to see how their journey would be impacted.

Sunday is forecast to be a cooler 29 and partly cloudy.
