A Charlemont man has had his motorbike impounded after being caught almost twice the speed limit on Barwon Heads Road.
The 26-year-old was allegedly detected doing 135km/h in a 70km/h zone on Saturday morning.
Police say the rider had only had his motorbike licence for two months.
As well as losing his machine for a month, the man is facing charges.
He was one of two speeding motorists caught on local roads in as many days.
Officers say a man was clocked on Geelong-Ballan Road in Anakie doing 155km/h in a 100km/h zone overtaking other vehicles on Friday morning.
His car was also impounded and the driver is expected to face court down the track on traffic charges.
