Victoria Police are launching Operation Summersafe, with local cops set to focus on popular spots around the Surf Coast.
Police will be out and about on foot, on horseback, in vehicles and on the water, with a focus on rapid response times.
They hope their presence will allow them to monitor anti-social behaviour on location, and ensure locals and tourists alike to quickly seek help.
Other targets will include weapon searches and driver safety, both on our roads and on the water, with jet ski riders to be drug and alcohol tested.
The focus is on maintaining public order, detecting and disrupting crime swiftly.
Operation Summersafe will run until March 2025.
Suspicious or anti-social behaviour can be reported on 131 444
