A teenager accused of an incident at Avalon Airport has been hit with a series of new Commonwealth charges.
The 17-year-old now charged with crimes with the extra crimes by Victoria Police.
The charges including attempted hijack, assaulting a member of an airline crew and attempting to prejudice the safe operation of an aircraft with intent to kill.

Police confirmed state law enforcement are able to lay Commonwealth charges, and the charges were not made by the AFP.
The charges issued by police last week.
The matter remains before the courts.
