A man has been taken to hospital after a crash on the Geelong Ring Road on Tuesday afternoon.
A vehicle flipped onto its roof heading southbound in the Hamlyn Heights area around 3pm.
“Firefighters arrived on scene to find a vehicle on its roof and one person mechanically trapped,” an FRV spokesperson said.
“There was no fire.
“FRV crews, including a rescue unit, CFA and SES crews attended and worked with Ambulance Victoria to safely release the occupant.”
Traffic has been affected in both directions between the Hamiton Hwy and Ballarat Rd exits, with diversions in place as emergency services attend the scene.
The man in his 30’s has been taken by road to Geelong Hospital, his condition is unclear at this stage.
