Another local boat ramp has been upgraded allowing fishers to get out onto the water.
The $4 million project at Kirk Point, near Point Wilson, includes a safer user-friendly ramp.
The Victorian government says the upgrade also features dual-lane grooved concrete panels, surrounded by a breakwater to protect fishers from southerly and easterly winds.
A jetty has also been added to allow boaters to tie up their boats while parking without having to get their feet wet.
There is also more parking for cars and trailers.
The ramp allows access to Corio and Port Phillip bays.
Better Boating Victoria oversaw the project under the Better Boating Fund.
