Several local playgrounds across Geelong are being upgraded.
The City of Greater Geelong has set aside more than $570,000 for the current round of the Playground Renewal Program.
Local facilities including Francis Reserve, Moolap Reserve and Breamlea Reserve will be upgraded over coming months.
The fort at East Geelong’s Pevensey Park and the climbing pyramid at Barwon Valley Fun Park will also be replaced.
Residents were invited to have their say on what was needed for their community.
The program involves replacing current equipment, installing seats and trees and the surface around play areas.
The council currently manages and maintains 380 play spaces across the region.
