The rail line between Waurn Ponds and Geelong is closed after a person died after being hit by a train at Grovedale.
Emergency services were called to the incident near Torquay Road around five this morning where they located the body of a deceased woman.
Coaches are currently replacing trains along the route and V/Line anticipates buses will continue to operate until 10:00AM and warns commuters to expect an additional journey time of up to 60 minutes.

Services between Southern Cross and Warrnambool have similarly been impacted.
Police say the death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
