All local politicians are set to suffer swings against them in the upcoming federal election – but are all set to retain their seats.
The projection by YouGov shows a hung parliament is highly likely following a three per cent swing to the Coalition nationally.
Libby Coker could be facing a serious challenge for the seat of Corangamite in this year’s election.
The electorate is expected to see swing of more than five per cent against Coker to the Coalition – though Coker would retain the seat on those figures.
Dan Teehan in Wannon is also expected to see a dangerous swing, with the Liberal expected to lose around two per cent of the preference vote to cut his margin to just over 52 per cent.
The data also projects a swing of almost six per cent against Deputy PM Richard Marles in the seat of Corio, though he would safely retain the seat even with this swing.
Joanne Ryan looks likely to retain the seat of Lalor, with a six per cent swing against Labor still likely to give her near 57 per cent of the preference vote.
