Retired Cats star Gary Ablett Jr is auctioning off his 2009 Premiership Guernsey for charity.
The proceeds from the sale will be going to Compassion Australia’s Mums and Babies appeal.
Gary, who also won the Brownlow Medal in 2009, said he was originally going to hold onto the top for his children, but wanted to raise money for a cause close to his heart.
“My wife (Jordan) and I, we started a foundation about two years ago, with three main focus areas,” he told Channel Seven.
“Mums and babies, highly vulnerable children and we also fund water and sanitation projects.”
The premiership star retired in 2020 after Geelong’s Grand Final loss to Richmond.
He played 357 games for the Cats and Gold Coast Suns.
Lloyds Auctions is hosting the online sale.
